Surrey

A part of the Metro Vancouver area, Surrey lies between the US border and Fraser River. There’s a Shoreline Walk and Crescent Beach and a late-1800s pioneer home called Stewart Farm.

Delta

Close to Surrey, the small city of Delta is south of Richmond and bordered by the Fraser River and Point Roberts, Washington in the US.

Vancouver

Vancouver is a densely populated place on the coast but is regarded as a world-class city with an ocean attached. Penetrating deep inland are many creeks and inlets. It’s regarded as Canada’s food capital.

North Vancouver

The waterfront municipality of North Vancouver sits on the northern shore of Burrard Inlet, straight across from Vancouver itself. It boasts some spectacular attractions including parks, mountains, and a wealth of nature.

West Vancouver

West Vancouver is one of Canada’s wealthiest cities. Reached from Vancouver itself via the Lions Gate Bridge it’s home to professional athletes, movie stars as well as old wealthy families and business people.

Langley

The two municipalities that combine to make up Langley include numerous tourist attractions and places of interest like parks and museums. It’s known for its flat terrain and farms as well as the surrounding Wine Country and historic Fort Langley village.

Abbotsford

Abbotsford is a large but still rural city in the Fraser Valley to the east of Vancouver. As well as farm country, it’s famed for the Abbotsford Airshow and the fact that gas here is cheap because it’s outside Metro Vancouver which has an extra gas tax.

Mission

The town and district municipality of Mission in the Fraser Valley has early BC railway links along with hydroelectric power, and there is a hilltop Benedictine monastery that offers stunning views.

Chilliwack

The large community of Chilliwack was once mainly agricultural. Located in the Fraser Valley around 100 km east of Vancouver its inhabitants benefit from a wealth of outdoor recreation activities.

Maple Ridge

Maple Ridge lies between the Fraser River and the Golden Ears mountain summits. It offers many amenities and has a thriving economy.

Burnaby

Burnaby offers more SkyTrain stops than any other place in Lower Mainland. It is near to Burnaby Mountain trails, Burnaby Lake and has more green spaces than Vancouver, which lies to the west.
